Finance Intern-Local N.G.O
A leading organisation is seeking to fill the post of Finance lntern. The successful candidate will be a recent graduate preferably 25 years and below with a background in Finance or Accounting, diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or banking. Support the Finance Office in recording and retrieving financial details of the organisation including maintaining financial records, processing payments, cash handling and salaries. Provide a complete finance service to the whole organisation, addressing all issues of a finance nature and providing all relevant information to meet external demands. Experience with pastel is an added advantage.
JOB DESCRIPTION
In the role of Finance Intern, you will be expected to carry out the duties and responsibilities described below:
• Track petty cash, keeping appropriate records, and maintaining reconciliations.
• Maintain the financial filing system and file financial documents as required.
. Assist with preparation for banking.
• Assist with posting financial data into Pastel.
• Assist with preparations for Audits.
• Assist with preparation of project budgets.
• Document all financial transactions in an orderly manner.
• Maintain all payment requisitions on file.
• Ensure that all payment requisitions have adequate supporting documentation and are authorized.
• Be prepared to undertake any other duties as assigned by the Finance Assistant.
